digital art commissions

I reserve the right to cancel or decline any commission at any point for any reason.

I have never and will never use generative AI in the creation of any of my illustrations.

Commission Process

You must provide clear references and descriptions before work begins. I will provide progress updates during key stages of the artwork for feedback and approval.

Payment

Payments are made via PayPal invoices.
A 50% deposit is required to secure your commission slot and allow work to begin. This deposit is non-refundable once work has started. However, if I cancel the commission myself before completion, this deposit will be refunded.
The remaining 50% balance is due upon completion of the artwork after a preview has been provided and approved by you.
Final high-resolution digital files are delivered upon receipt of final payment.
Payments must be made within (7) days of receipt of the invoice.

revisions

Revisions during the sketching stage are included at no extra charge.
Major revisions after sketch approval may incur additional fees and a delay in final delivery.

Timeline

Estimated turnaround time is up to 3 weeks after initial payment and receipt of references.
Turnaround times may vary depending on workload and revisions.

usage rights

Personal Use

You may display the commissioned artwork on your personal social media.
Credit is required. ( Tag @thestardazedtrail )

Commercial Use

Usage included in the base commission price:

Promotion and marketing limited to business social media, newsletters, or websites
Pre release prints as preorder incentives (does not include crowd funding campaign add-ons)

Usage not included and requiring the purchase of a non-exclusive, non-transferable commercial license (+50% of the base commission price):

Post release printed merchandise (such as bookmarks, stickers, or prints)
Book exterior/interior illustrations and endpapers

Exclusive rights or full copyright transfer require a separate written agreement and additional fee.

COPYRIGHT

I retain all copyright to the artwork including all sketches and drafts and developmental materials. I may post to my social media accounts and portfolio for self promotion. If you’d like me to withhold posting until a specific time such as a commercial release date, I will accommodate.

DELIVERY

Personal Use: Final artwork will be delivered digitally as a high-resolution JPEG file with a watermark.
Commercial Use: Final artwork will be delivered digitally as a high-resolution TIFF file with a small unobstructive signature

AI / Machine Learning / NFT / Block Chain Use

The commissioned artwork may NOT be used for training, developing, or improving artificial intelligence or machine learning systems for any reason or under any circumstances.

The commissioned artwork may NOT be used for NFT/block chain/crypto related databases.
